Fly Fishing Guide in Western NC

Guided fly fishing trips in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. Wade or float trips targeting trout, smallmouth bass, and musky in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Wade Fishing Trips

Wade fishing in the mountains feels like home. Standing in water, reading currents, moving upstream through pocket water and deep runs.

Float Trips

Float trips reach water anglers can’t wade. Cover miles by drift boat, stopping at productive runs and less pressured water.

South Holton River

We target trout on the South Holston River, a scenic tailwater known for its crystal-clear flows and year-round fishing. Trout fishing is best during spring, summer, and fall.

The Watauga River

Below Watauga Dam is a productive tailwater with many rainbow and brown trout. It fishes differently than South Holston, featuring faster water and more pocket structure for exciting float days.

The Tuckasegee River

In Jackson County, NC, the Tuck is a solid tailwater option on the western mountains. It has healthy trout and is great for anglers wanting a productive float without driving to Tennessee.

Target Species

The waters we fish hold a diverse mix of gamefish. Most of our trips focus on trout, but the region offers much more than that depending on the river and the season.
